As a nonprofit HUD housing counseling agency, Springboard offers free, comprehensive HAFA Short Sale and Deed-in-Lieu (DIL) assistance for your clients. This priority counseling session, known as Realtor Appointment Processing In Demand (RAPID®) provides a stream-lined approach to qualifying and applying a homeowner for a HAFA Short Sale or DIL.

The entire RAPID® HAFA Assistance session, and follow-up activities, are sponsored by public and private grants making it completely free of charge to the homeowner.

Q: What if my client has not yet applied for a HAMP loan modification?
A: As you know, the homeowner needs to first attempt a HAMP loan modification and then be unsuccessful in order to be eligible for a HAFA short sale. If they have not already done so, we will qualify and help your client begin the HAMP process.
