First-Time Home Buyer Programs
FHA Loans and Home Buyer Education
While HomeOwnership.org's primary mission is to help consumers who are having trouble
paying their mortgage, valuable information is also offered to help those who are
looking to become home owners for the first-time.
Loan Document Review Service
Springboard offers a free service, sponsored by HUD, to assist borrowers in evaluating
whether or not a loan offer is in their best interest. In a one-on-one session with
a HUD housing specialist, your mortgage documents are reviewed to identify any potential
issues or risks. You are given assistance in determining if the loan terms are accurate
and truthful.

FHA Loan
An FHA loan allows a first-time home buyer to purchase a home with less than 3% down
payment. These loans are designed to help home buyers purchase a home without a large
amount of savings.
First-Time Home Buyer Education
It's important for home buyers to get as much information as possible to help them
become successful in the long term. The best way to ensure that foreclosure will
not be in your future is to be set on the right path as early as possible.
When preparing to buy your first home, it's important to plan ahead so you can manage
your finances and be a successful homeowner. Take advantage of a first-time home buyer
class offered by Springboard.
Springboards first-time home buyer education course will help you make good decisions
when buying a home. It's approved by HUD, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and can qualify
you for savings on the cost of FHA mortgage insurance as well as other first-time
home buyer assistance programs.
